About the Fred Perry Benefit Motorcycle Run for Kids
The Fred Perry Benefit Motorcycle Run for Kids is a non-profit organization which
exists to raise funds for less fortunate children in and around the Mahoning Valley.

On the third Sunday of August (since 1990) the Perry family and friends have
gathered at Mike's Lounge in Austintown, Ohio and organized a motorcycle ride,
where participants pay a fee to ride. The money collected is then given in Fred Perry's
name to selected families or organizations that can use it to better the life of a child.

Planning for the 20th (already)...
We're already beginning to plan for next year's run. We're hoping the 20th is bigger, better, more fun, more charitable than any so far. The Perry family is compiling information, stories, photographs and miscellaneous memorabilia about the late Fred Perry, all to be showcased at next year's run. SIGN UP
Sign up can be done the day of the run from 10:00am until 12:30pm. There is also opportunity to pre-sign up at various businesses around the Mahoning Valley. All pre-sign ups are guaranteed pins! Pre-sign up dates and locations for 2010 run will be posted closer next summer. Thanks to all the lovely ladies who worked pre-sign-up and day-of-sign-up this year!

 

COST
Cost to participate in the Fred Perry Benefit Motorcycle Run for Kids is only $10 per person, which includes: a Fred Perry Benefit Motorcycle Run for Kids Pin (available while supplies last) and a Food Band. For those who come early, the Fred Perry Benefit Motorcycle Run for Kids provideçcoffee and hot dogs before the run.

Thanks to everyone who helped prepare and serve food for this year's event. It was DE-licious!

Run participants also receive a door prize ticket. Door prizes vary per year, but are always GREAT fun, free gifts! Thanks door prize tent ladies for all your hard work!

EVENT SCHEDULE
Beginning at 10:00am riders (who've not taken advantage of pre-sign) can sign-up for the run. Get there early... the parking lot will not stay empty for long. The Run begins at 1:00pm and will take participants on a 70+ mile ride in which they'll stop at three locations. Route sheets will be available the morning of the run. After the Ride, participants return to Mike's Lounge for dinner, door prizes, 50/50 raffle and good music.

Hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts and more will all be available for purchase the day of the run.
The Fred Perry Benefit Run for Kids allows several outside vendors (who make a donation to the run) to set up in the parking lot during and after the run. If you're interested in becomming a vendor, please contact us.
